Our story
Our story begins at the crack of dawn, way back in 1993, when our sister company, The Produce Company, started going to the markets before the sun came up. Why? Because they wanted to select the very best produce, the highest quality meat, and the freshest seafood to deliver to chefs, so Kiwis could enjoy the finest, freshest produce available.
Fast forward twenty years, and Foodbox is now delivering that same fresh, flavoursome quality, direct to Kiwi homes and offices.
Today, Foodbox has grown into a trusted New Zealand brand with our new extensive range of Foodboxes and products designed with Kiwis in mind. We want to encourage New Zealanders to seek inspiration from locally-sourced ingredients, to experience the fun of cooking together, sharing a meal, and creating memories… because every day is an occasion to enjoy good food.
We strive to fill our Boxes with the freshest produce from growers and farmers across Aotearoa, chef inspired and locally-sourced for fast delivery and reduced carbon footprint. We hand select ingredients and work directly with local growers to source the best local and seasonal produce. In other words, Foodbox brings the best of Farmers Markets direct to you.
